need a DVD photo slideshow program that will loop until I stop it
I need a program that will let me burn a dvd with photos on it and go through a slideshow. When it gets to the end, I need it to loop back through again until I stop it. This will be in a display with no one in it to keep running, so it nees to go all by itself once started.

Picasa by Google is an excellent free photo organizer / viewer with many options such as automatic downsize and email photos. The slide show feature (create gift CD) will make a CD or DVD slideshow. There is an option from the menu to 'loop slide show'. I don't know if it works the way you would like, but it is a free option.

it didnt work for me
I loaded the picassa program and made a dvd disk. It didn't work because it puts data on the disk and that will work for a computer dvd player, but not a dvd player that you would use with a TV. I tried ProShow Gold and was able to make a dvd disc and that worked like a charm!
Key to making it loop is to have it with NO MENU, then it just loops. Played it through my Sony BlueRay DVD player tied into my Sony DVD 52" LCD TV.....now that is a big picture!!!

any dvd program should allow you to define what to do after each menu item, such as go to the next chapter, go to menu, or go to a specific chapter (like go back to the first chapter after completing the last one). some tools i've used in the past that do this are dvdstyler and qdvdauthor, and i use devede now (not sure if any of them are available for windows though). there's lots of slideshow making programs out there.
